Position: Salon owner, web media manager, hairstylist.
Overview: I manage the space, bookings, finances and payroll, and lead a small team of independent stylists. As the voice of the salon, I built and manage our WordPress site and all social media presence, and have been interviewed by several major publications. Fostering a community around our space, I organize events in the space such as art openings, small concerts, charity events, and industry education.
Cor Flammae
Position: Founder, Managing Director, Web Media Manager, audition committee, repertoire committee, singer.
Overview: Vancouver’s project-based summer chorus of classically trained, queer singers performing queer content. I created concepts for all our concerts, photoshoots, social media, website, and media relations. I booked venues, auditioned singers, arranged video shoots, hired collaborators, sang in the choir, and did hair for the photoshoots.
Vancouver Cantata Singers
Position: Board of Directors, Web Media Manager, singer.
Overview: When I started singing with this 60+ year-old ensemble in 2008 they were using technology from 1998. I joined the board and helped them port their payment collections to a web-based platform. I made them a new website on WordPress which has now been honed by a web designer. I built their social media brand from scratch using Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. I created a viral video for their YouTube channel which has been viewed almost 300,000 times.
